After some disappointment, and some settling for what I do not consider to be a brunch - example, pancakes for dessert, I decided with my husband, to host my own brunch at home with the works: Bacon, sausages, silver dollar pancakes with real maple syrup, Bombay potatoes, orange juice, enough Bloody Mary to keep the crowd happy and I can't even remember what else, but bellies were full and people were content I think. I did however continue my quest for the best Brunch, went to the Petit Parisien - pancakes again for dessert, I had a burger. Been to the Terasse 17, not bad but had a burger too. Went to Catz, with the recommendation of one of our owners who currently lives in NY and it was OK but no more no less - I am picky, what can I say. You see, I don't eat eggs. I know, I know, but I don't and to me eggs are not the only part of a great brunch (note that I didn't make eggs for my brunch - or at least I don't remember having done so and it still was good). So what to do?
Well, I am happy to say that for now, my search is over after the brunch of last Sunday.
I had been meaning to pop into a rather popular looking restaurant/bar, that I came across in the 11th called The Barber Shop, maybe for a drink or something but I actually didn't even know they had brunch (everyone is doing brunch these days).
Feel free to share your great brunch ideas with us. I am always open to try another place.
