When we call someone an artist many of us tend to imagine a person who has had formal training from any number of great schools of art. We think impressionistic, romantic, cubist, among many others. When we think of Japanese art, images of very stylistic & precise forms of expression may come to mind.

Greener Pastures on the Champs Elysee

Strolling down the avenue Sunday May 23rd, you may notice a bit more than sidewalk cafes and high-end boutiques. May 22nd marked the International Day for Biological Diversity and Nature Capitale has decided to treat Paris to a spectacular display of nature at its best.
A 1 kilometer patch from the Arc de Triomphe to the Rond Point de la Champs Elysee will be converted for 2 days and one night into a giant park covered with 7.4 acres of green space, 150 examples of plant life, 650 large trees, 8000 vegetable patches, 11000 young trees and 150,000 young plants. Now that's a park! No cars honking, no pollution and lots and lots of greeeeen!
But the greenery is not all that you are in store for, there will be cows, sheep & other livestock to amuse the big and little ones.
So go share in this magical experience. Pack your picnic lunch. Kick off your shoes and stroll up the Champs Elysee. This is NOT to be missed.
