For this week's Sipping on Saturday Ann-Marie takes us to a local cafe here in Montmartre for some great Happy hour prices!
As I am sure most of you already know Paris can be an expensive city! Like every big city and tourist destination it can be costly to grab a quick drink with your friends or family, unless you find some of the many great cafes and bars throughout the city which offer great Happy Hour prices.

For this weeks Tuesday Tidbit Ann-Marie tells us the story behind metro station Guy Môquet.
Recently while checking in a guests at one of our apartments Cozy Carpeaux, the guest shared with me some of her knowledge regarding metro station Guy Môquet. The story of Guy Môquet is quite interesting and I thought I should share it with our readers.

Montreuil Market - Bargain hunting at Paris Flea Markets
This week Ann Marie takes us shopping to the Montreuil flea market where you can rub elbows with the locals in the hunt for the best bargains in town.
It must be said that Paris is every shopper's dream, all the major fashion houses are located here from clothes to shoes and jewellery to handbags. Strolling along the Champs Elysees you can peer into the mesmerizing windows of Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, Hugo Boss and the list could go on and on. But for those of you who like me, don't quite have the budget to shell out that much cash why not seek out one of Paris' many hidden flea market gems.

Sipping on Saturdays-Hotel de Crillon
For this weeks Sipping on Saturday Ann-Marie takes us to Hotel de Crillon for some afternoon tea.
As an Irish girl drinking tea is second nature to me, meeting up for some tea is a very sociable and common event and a great way to catch up with some friends. So this week I called up a friend I had not seen for ages and she suggested meeting at Hotel de Crillon (I thought to myself a beautiful hotel, why not!)

Wednesday Wanderings: la Fête Foraine du Jardin de Tuileries - Fun and Amusement for Big and Small
This Wednesday Ann Marie takes us wandering to La Fête Foraine in the Tuileries gardens a yearly tradition that marks the arrival of Summer in Paris (yes I know sometimes it may be hard to tell).
I absolutely love fun fairs, so when visiting one of our newest apartments Tantalizing Tuileries near the Tuileries Gardens, I jumped with delight at the sight of the fantastic Ferris wheel which overlooks most of Paris. So in a typical child-like manner I dragged my friends to this old style, traditional fun fair for a fun-packed evening!

Paris People: Cook'n With Class chef Briony Laberthionniere - From Down Under to the City of Light, a Pastry Dream
Paris is full of many people, some who chose to be here, some who got here by accident and some who were born here. All these amazing Paris people make the city pulse to a multicultural beat.
This week, Ann Marie takes some time to get to know one of Cook'n with Class' chefs Briony Laberthionniere. Briony is a bright bubbly Aussie, who followed her heart and her passion to Paris and hasn't look back since!

Sipping on Saturdays- Harry's Bar
Harry's bar has always been somewhere I have wanted to go, after reading countless books and articles on "The Oldest Cocktail Bar in Europe" I was very eager to take a peak inside and sit at the bar where so many famous people and writers came to get inspiration & drown their sorrows.(Maybe some of this talent will rub off on me, hey a girl can always dream!)

Friday Foto
"I love stores like La Vaissellerie where you can find all sorts of items for your home and great little souvenirs to take back with you. Not all of it will fit into your suitcase but there are probably a few little items you could make room for. From the kitsch to the trendy stores like La Vaissellerie are jam packed with goodies of all types. Take the Laguiole knives for example "

Saint Denis Basilica Cathedral
The beautiful Saint Denis Basilica gets it's name from the Gallo-Roman cemetery upon which it was built and which holds the tomb of Saint Denis, who was allegedly the first Bishop of Paris and is the Patron saint of France.

Take me to Singapore Takeout with Chef André Chiang
I was utterly delighted when Michelle of Untapped Cities, informed me that I would be able to attend this exciting event at the Hippodrome at Porte d'Auteuil. The New York Time's named his restaurant Andre in Singapore as one of the 10 best restaurants in the world worth a plane ride. Now that is classy! So who could say no to such an offer dinner with chef Andre Chiang? And I didn't even have to buy a plane ticket.

Friday Foto: Enterrement de vie de garcon
Enterrement de vie de garcon is the celebration a groom amongst his fellow male friends and family undertakes before his big nuptials. Although when translated into English it means the burial of single life (that's not at all morbid?)
