For me when I treat myself to a pastry, I really like to treat myself - I don't eat a lot of them. I don't always take dessert. I save it all up for that special moment. My not so guilty pleasure.
I heard about the Café Pouchkine while watching the French news one day and quickly made note to seek it out. Something new was about and somehow I had not seen it on my previous visits to the Printemps department store where they have a small cafe.
The Cafe Pouchkine (Cafe Pushkin in Russia), is a world renowned cafe which has now opened up salons in New York and Paris. With the talented Emmanuel Ryon's creations its an instant hit. French pastries never looked so regal - certainly fit for a tzar.
