Thursday Food For Thought - Quick Picnic from Monoprix
With all the amazing food in Paris I have to admit that one of my favorite places to buy a quick lunch is Monoprix (or Monop', which is a smaller version). I know many of you might think it is crazy that I would recommend pre-packaged food from a grocery store to our visitors in Paris but I think they offer some pretty decent options.

Cristóbal Balenciaga and Comme des Garçons, White Drama
Have you ever seen this building? I've seen it from the metro but never knew what it was. It turns out it’s a museum/exhibition space called Les docks en Seine and it holds exhibits for fashion and design.
They have temporary exhibits, fancy boutiques, a rooftop restaurant/bar, and kids can take art and design classes there. This is the first summer it has been open to the public.

And you're in luck if you're a fan of fashion because they are currently showing two temporary fashion exhibits organized by Le musée Galliera hor les murs.

Treasure Hunt At The Louvre
Anyone who has been to the Louvre knows how massive and overwhelming it can be. You can walk around all day and still not see everything. In fact, I'm not a huge fan of the Louvre but I've recently discovered a great new and exciting way to experience this massive museum... a treasure hunt.

Roue de Paris - The Paris Ferris Wheel
The Paris Ferris Wheel (Roue de Paris) is a fun way to see the city. Located in the Jardin des Tuileries, this Ferris wheel is up all summer and it gives riders a very nice 360 degree view of Paris. It costs 8€ for an adult (slightly less for children but I forgot to look at the children's prices) and the ride lasts about 10 minutes.

Paris versus London: Bridges
I love Paris! And I also love London. Two great cities with long histories and eye-catching architecture. Continuing our London 2012 games series, here is the next installment in our Paris versus London.
What's your favorite architectural structure in either London or Paris?

I'm Screaming for Ice-cream!
This Thursday - heck who am I kidding, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I love ice-cream. Okay I don't eat it that often but when I do, I want it to be not just good but great. I seek out the welcoming signs, "Glace artisanal" to find that special made ice-cream, not the mass produced stuff that's good enough in a fix but doesn't quite provide my belly with ice-creaming love. Nothing like beating the heat with a bit of chilling, creamy goodness.
